Illustrations & images composites / ILLUSTRATIONS & COMPOSITE DIGITAL IMAGES
Comme j'ai travaillé pendant 25 ans à titre d'illustrateur conceptuel, une partie très importante de ma production artistique est colorée par cette approche exploratoire de l'image. Ma curiosité des autres cultures et mon esprit conceptuel ont façonner mon imaginaire de telle sorte qu'on a fait appel à moi pour illustrer tout ce qui touchait à l'altérité et tout ce qui semblait difficile ou sinon impossible à illustrer.
Ce que je nomme des images composites sont faites d'un assemblage numérique de photos, de dessins et d'images diverses que j'ai créé au cours des ans.
Illustration et image composite sont réunies ici parce qu'un nombre important de mes illustrations, qui à l'origine ont été réalisées à l'acrylique sur papier, ont été numérisées et souvent retravaillées à l'ordinateur.
J'ai aussi choisi de créer et/ou diffuser certaines de mes images sous le nom de Lundi Radieux : voulant séparer mon travail d'illustrateur du reste de ma production picturale. Mais, en fait, cette séparation n'a jamais été très claire pour moi.

As I worked for 25 years as a conceptual illustrator, a very important part of my artistic production is coloured by this exploratory approach to image. My curiosity about other cultures and my conceptual mind have shaped my imagination in such a way that I have been called upon to illustrate everything that has to do with otherness and everything that seems difficult or even impossible to illustrate.
What I call composite images are made of a digital assemblage of photos, drawings and various images that I have created over the years.
Illustration and composite image are brought together here because a significant number of my illustrations, which were made originally with acrylic on paper, have been digitized and often reworked with a computer.
I have also chosen to create and/or promote some of my images under the name of Lundi Radieux: wanting to separate my work as an illustrator from the rest of my pictorial production. But, in fact, this separation has never been very clear to me.
