Il s'agit ici du début d'une série d’œuvres sur papier assemblant collage, peinture et dessin autour du thème de la maison comme représentation de nos conditionnements sociaux.

Le terme conditionnement n'a ici aucune connotation négative. En tant qu'animaux sociaux et intellectuels: ce que nous appelons généralement éducation ou formation est en fait un conditionnement que les individus doivent intégrer pour participer activement au groupes ou sociétés qui les accueillent.

This is the beginning of a series of works on paper assembling collage, painting and drawing around the theme of the house as a representation of our social conditionings.

The term conditioning has no negative connotations here. As social and intellectual animals: what we generally call education or training is in fact a conditioning that individuals must integrate to participate actively in the groups or societies that host them.

Le sujet principal est ici le passage d'un paradigme ancien qui se révèle insatisfaisant à un nouveau modèle qui est en cours de création.

The main topic here is the transition from an old paradigm that is proven to be unsatisfactory to a new model that actually is being created.

Le dimanche 5 novembre en après-midi s'est tenu à la Maison Félix-Leclerc de Vaudreuil-Dorion le vernissage de la sculpture CATHÉDRALE INTÉRIEURE que j'ai eu le plaisir de réaliser pendant le mois d'octobre sur ce lieu à titre d'artiste en résidence. De nombreux amis sont venus célébrer avec moi à l'occasion de ce vernissage. J'ai eu le bonheur d'en faire la présentation et d'expliquer la démarche qui a amené à sa réalisation à deux occasions. 

Comme le constatait le Professeur Norman Cornett: l'espace exigu de la Galerie Adagio ne permettait pas aux spectateurs de saisir pleinement la force et la magie de cette oeuvre. Mais, ce lieu exceptionnellement chaleureux a su générer l'atmosphère idéale pour une rencontre entre le public et l'artiste. J'en garderai un souvenir précieux.

L'oeuvre est en exposition jusqu'à la fin novembre.

On Sunday afternoon, November 5, at the Maison Félix-Leclerc in Vaudreuil-Dorion, I held the vernissage of the CATHÉDRALE INTÉRIEURE sculpture, which I had the pleasure to realize during the month of October at this place as artist-in-residence. Many friends came with me to celebrate the opening. I had the pleasure of presenting it and explaining the process that led to its realization on two occasions. 

As Professor Norman Cornett observed: the limited space of the Adagio Gallery did not allow spectators to fully grasp the strength and magic of this work. But this exceptionally warm place has created the ideal atmosphere for a meeting between the public and the artist. I'll keep a precious memory of it.

The work is on display until the end of November.

Si je joue sur le motif, c'est pour en comprendre la teneur. Il s'agit bien du silence intérieur pour une part, mais le mystère est plus profond. Est-ce une alerte? L'image de la mort? Un message m'avertissant qu'il y a un secret à mettre au jour?

If I play on the motive, it's to understand its content. It is the inner silence for one part, but the mystery is deeper. Is that an alert? The image of death? A message warning me there's a secret to uncover?
